The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus illustrates the need for continued and expanded intersectoral collaboration and knowledge to meet emerging threats. With our 2020 biennial conference, we aim to bring global stakeholders (campus, local, state, national and international) together to discuss priority global health capacity needs, current challenges, and progress towards a more resilient global community. The conference is organized as part of Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative’s strategic effort to build outreach and extension capacity. A virtual poster session will be held each day to share timely and relevant One Health research and engagement activities. The posters will be presented virtually through Zoom. We are currently accepting abstract submissions until October 2.

Conference Objectives Highlight the need for strengthened training, research and outreach capacity to address complex issues pertinent to human, animals, plants and the environment Foster collaboration for effective and sustained capacity building/strengthening Showcase the diverse projects GOHi and global partners are working on to make an impact around the world Bring together key local, state, national and international stakeholders to facilitate knowledge-sharing

About One Health Day

One Health Day, celebrated annually on November 3, is an international campaign co-coordinated by the One Health Commission, the One Health Initiative and the One Health Platform Foundation. The goal of One Health Day is to bring attention around the world to the need for One Health interactions and for the world to “see them in action.”
